From a young age, Dr. Poplin's passion for dentistry was ignited. Influenced by his parents, both educators, with a mother serving as an elementary school special education teacher and a father as his high school principal, Dr. Poplin's affinity for working with children became deeply rooted.

Hailing from Kansas, Dr. Poplin earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Kansas. During his time there, he dedicated himself to volunteer work, tutoring first and second graders at his mother's elementary school and participating in initiatives like Habitat for Humanity.

Completing his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Poplin took on the role of senior class president, showcasing his leadership and dedication to his community. His commitment to community service extended globally as he volunteered with the Haitian Health Foundation, providing dental care in the rural villages of Haiti. Dr. Poplin continues to serve as a volunteer abroad on various dental mission trips, bringing his skills and compassion to those in need.

Furthering his education, Dr. Poplin completed a two-year pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia while concurrently practicing in a private pediatric dental office. He then spent several years working in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas before deciding to make Austin his family's home.

Dr. Poplin's dedication to advancing dentistry reaches new heights as he serves as a National Speaker and educator, training hundreds of Dentists on the latest laser dentistry interventions and techniques. With extensive training in nitrous oxide, oral sedation, general anesthesia, and dental trauma, Dr. Poplin's commitment to excellence is underscored by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry through rigorous exams.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Poplin cherishes time with his family—his twins, Mason and Olivia, and his wife Jessica. An avid enthusiast of college basketball, hiking, and live music, Dr. Poplin finds joy in creating positive dental experiences for children, especially those with fears or special needs, witnessing them leave with big, happy smiles and reduced anxiety with each subsequent appointment.

Nevin K. Allan, DMD, MSD, is a proud Texan who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. Her journey continued at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she not only achieved a Doctor of Dental Medicine but also earned a certificate in Public Health.

After completing dental school, Dr. Allan immersed herself in the vibrant community of Louisville, Kentucky, where she practiced as a general dentist at a local family practice for a year.

Driven by her passion for pediatric dentistry, Dr. Allan pursued and completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. During this intensive program, she received comprehensive training in pediatric conscious oral sedation, treatment for children with special needs, behavior management, and hospital dentistry. Dr. Allan is an active member of esteemed dental organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Capital Area Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Allan is dedicated to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for her patients, fostering lasting relationships with both children and parents. Her goal is to ensure that everyone feels at ease and relaxed during their visit.  Devoting her days to fostering better oral health in children and adolescents is a privilege she cherishes.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Allan finds joy in spending quality time with family and friends. She indulges in her love for travel, enjoys culinary adventures exploring Austin's diverse food scene, and stays active by running on Lady Bird Lake Trail. Dr. Allan is also passionate about music and believes in embracing all the fantastic experiences that Austin has to offer.

Hailing from a charming South Texas town, Jessica brings a warm, down-to-earth vibe to our team. She's a fan of the simple pleasures in life, with cookies & cream ice cream topping her list of favorites. When not assisting patients, you can find her indulging in a Pilates session, embracing both fitness and relaxation.

Introducing Andrea, our Arkansas transplant with a fascinating past! She used to raise horses and donkeys with her family and even shares a birthday with the fabulous Queen Latifa. Since moving to Austin in 2017, she's been embracing the Texas lifestyle with open arms.

Meet Holly, our cake-baking, ranch-loving hygienist! Before joining our team, she was an elementary school teacher, but now she spends her days ensuring our patients' smiles shine bright. When she's not at work, you can find her crafting fancy cakes or enjoying the tranquility of her ranch.

Say hello to Rebeca, our soccer mom extraordinaire! She loves cheering on her kids at soccer games and spending quality time with her adorable granddaughter. When she's not on the sidelines, you might catch her reminiscing about her visits to Mexico.

Meet Jaime, our adventurous dog lover with a knack for spontaneity! She and her husband share their home with Denver, a Sheepadoodle named after the iconic John Denver. Their spontaneous decision to elope in Hawaii led to unforgettable memories, and Jaime cherishes every moment spent with her large, loving family.

Meet Jenny, our left-handed wonder with a talent for ear tricks! Not only does she have a twin brother, but she can also move her ears just like Alfalfa from The Little Rascals. Talk about impressive!

Meet Laura who brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to our practice. Laura's journey with us began as a childhood patient of the former owner, Dr. White, instilling in her a profound appreciation for pediatric dentistry. In December 2023, Laura welcomed her own bundle of joy, a little one born with two adorable teeth, marking the start of her incredible journey into motherhood. When she's not brightening smiles in our office, Laura enjoys cheering for her favorite soccer team, Chivas de Guadalajara.
